Dr Ryan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 with Honours. He has worked consistently since then to develop his surgical expertise, which is his special interest. He is in the process of obtaining his Membership in Small Animal Surgery and brings a wealth of experience in both complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. When he’s not in the operating theatre, he is kept busy spending time with his wife, little boy and his two rescue cats Peggy and Lulu.

Phillipa grew up on a farm surrounded by animals and cannot remember wanting to anything but a vet. She graduated from Sydney University in 2006 and spent several years working in busy rural mixed practice, developing a passion for emergency medicine. In 2010 Phillipa completed her memberships in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. She has a beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer, Hunter who is nearly three and a bundle of energy. He is wonderful with Phillipa’s two year old girl, who loves helping look after him.

Dr Pagaen Boyd grew up in Rockhampton. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009 with Honours and has recently returned from a two year working holiday in the UK and Europe. Her desire to work with animals began at a young age when her family started showing English Springer Spaniels – a pastime she still enjoys. Pagaen enjoys all aspects of veterinary science, particularly internal medicine, cardiology and reproduction.

Dr Mel knew that being a veterinarian was her ultimate dream job after reading the captivating tales of James Herriot as a child. She graduated from the University of Queensland and spent a couple of years in animal welfare practice before joining the Anvet team. Mel enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, particularly ultrasonography, endocrinology and reproduction, not to mention spending time in the operating theatre. At home, she enjoys relaxing with her partner, Polly the Silky Terrier and Mia the Devon Rex.
